Reds Monitoring Manchester City Situation
Liverpool are reportedly ready to move for Manchester City playmaker Rayan Cherki should the Premier League champions face severe punishment. City were found guilty of 114 charges during the international break, and sanctions could follow in the coming weeks, which would threaten the future of several key players at the Etihad Stadium.
Reds Weighing Up Defensive Reinforcements
Liverpool are reportedly keeping tabs on Bayer Leverkusen defender Jarell Quansah, according to Football Insider, as they assess defensive options before the next transfer window.
The 23-year-old came through Anfield’s academy, impressed on loan at Bristol Rovers and helped the Reds win the 2024/25 Premier League title before joining Leverkusen permanently last year.
Reds and Blues Enter Race for Brazilian Centre-Back
Liverpool and Chelsea have reportedly joined the chase for Nottingham Forest centre-back Murillo, with Football Insider claiming both clubs are weighing up moves for the 24-year-old in 2027.
Murillo’s Rise at the City Ground
The Brazilian arrived from Corinthians with just 13 league appearances in his homeland, yet he has become a mainstay of Forest’s backline. Across 120 outings he has scored four goals and built a reputation for crucial interventions, including goal-line clearances against Harry Maguire in April 2025 and Savinho last season.
Liverpool have reportedly entered the chase for Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott, setting up a potential tussle with Chelsea, according to TEAMtalk.
Why Liverpool Want Alex Scott
The Reds did not sign a midfielder this summer after Curtis Jones departed. Andoni Iraola currently relies on Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and youngster Trey Nyoni, with Wataru Endo offering cover despite drifting towards the fringes of the squad.
Reds Refuse to Give Up on Long-Term Target
Liverpool are said to be continuing discussions over a move for Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, according to TEAMtalk. The France international has long been admired at Anfield, and the Merseyside club appear determined to test Madrid’s resolve once again.
