Man United plot £42m move for Sergio Ramos

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to bid £42m in order to sign Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos.

The 30-year-old centre-back has been heavily linked with a move to the Red Devils last summer, but he opted to remain at the Spanish capital.

According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, the 20-time English champions are now ready to splash £42m to land the Spanish international in January transfer window.

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has agreed to a new five year contract with the 10-times European champions, that will keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu until June 2020.

The Spain international has ended all speculation about his future move to Manchester United this summer, whose previous deal was due to expire in 2017 and the Old Trafford club were keeping a close eye on his situation at the Bernabeu.
