Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has agreed to a new five year contract with the 10-times European champions, that will keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu until June 2020.

The Spain international has ended all speculation about his future move to Manchester United this summer, whose previous deal was due to expire in 2017 and the Old Trafford club were keeping a close eye on his situation at the Bernabeu.

Nevertheless, the 29-year-old will officially extend his stay at the Los Blancos when a ceremony will take place at 13:30 local time on Monday, the Spanish club’s statement confirmed.

Ramos joined the club from Sevilla in 2005 and has scored four goals in 27 La Liga games last season.
