Mario Balotelli extends Nice contract

Nice have confirmed that Italian international striker Mario Balotelli has signed a contract extension at the club.

Balotelli, 26, joined the French Ligue 1 outfit last summer on a one-year deal following some bad spells with Liverpool and on loan at former club AC Milan.

The move saw the Italian return to form as he notched 17 goals in 28 appearances across all competitions last season, helping the club finish third in Ligue 1 and claim a Champions League spot.

Everton have reportedly interested in signing Mario Balotelli, who is likely to be keen on a return to the English Premier League.

The Italy international, who plays as a striker for Nice, where he has racked up nine goals in 13 games to help the French outfit to the top of Ligue 1.

Inter Milan are reportedly pondering a move to lure Liverpool forward Mario Balotelli back to the San Siro.

According to Tuttosport, the Seire A outfit are contemplating signing the controversial striker back to the Italy, where he spent three years between 2007 and 2010.

If the deal goes through, would see him link up with his former boss Roberto Mancini once again, with the pair have had a strong relationship during their time together at Manchester City.
