Liverpool have reportedly eyeing a summer move for Ajax winger Anwar El Ghazi in order to replace Jordon Ibe at Anfield.

It is believed that the Reds will be in the market for a new midfielder as doubts hang over Jordon Ibe’s long-term future at the Merseyside club.

Ibe, 20, has played 36 times this season and could be allowed to leave the Anfield at the end of the season in search of regular football

According to Football Insider, Ajax’s 21-year-old starlet Anwar El Ghazi, who joined Ajax from Sparta Rotterdam in 2013 – has been identified as a potential replacement for next season.

The Dutchman, who has previously been linked with the likes of Tottenham and Milan, has managed to score 11 goals and provided three assists from his 26 Eredivisie appearances this term.

El Ghazi’s current contract is valid until 2019 and is expected to command a fee somewhere in the region of £12m.
