Liverpool centre-back Martin Skrtel is considering to leave the Merseysiders as the Slovakian is struggling to make his way back into the first-team, according to ESPN.

The 31-year-old, who has been at the Reds for the last eight years – spent almost two months on the bench with his hamstring injury, but has only managed to start one league game since the recovery.

The report suggested that the Reds duo Mamadou Sakho and Dejan Lovren are the current defending pair for club’s manager Jurgen Klopp, therefore, Skrtel is reportedly considering joining a new club this summer.

Having more than 300 appearances for the Anfield outfit, it is believed that a plenty of English clubs and European heavyweights are keeping a close eye on Skrtel’s situation, who joined the Reds in 2008 from Zenit Saint Petersburg for £6.5million.
