Manchester United are hopeful of signing Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller as RVP replacement, according to the Daily Star.

With Fenerbahce are in talks with a deal for Robin van Persie, the Dutchman’s exit would leave Louis van Gaal short of attacking options next season.

The report claims that the Red Devils are ready to step up their interest in signing the world class striker, and are preparing a £60m bid for the German superstar.

The 25-year-old, had been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford and was targeted by his former boss LVG last summer, as reported by the Daily Mail.
