Manchester United have reportedly stepped up their interest in Real Madrid playmaker Marco Asensio.

United boss Erik ten Hag is yet to make his first signing of the summer transfer window.

According to Sport, the Red Devils are one of three clubs who are prepared to up their efforts to secure a deal for Asensio, who has a year left on his contract.

Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio has reportedly decided that his future lies away from the Bernabeu and has targeted a move to Manchester United.

The 23-year-old has struggled for playing time under Santiago Solari, making just his second start of 2019 in Sunday’s 4-1 win against Real Valladolid.
