Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic could be in line to play in the Major League Soccer next year.

The 32-year-old right-back, who has been at Stamford Bridge since 2008, has no long-term future at the Blues and is expected to leave the west London outfit with his contract expiring at the end of the 2016/17 season.

According to Bleacher Report, the Serbian international looks set to join up with his former colleagues with the likes of Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole in completing a move to the United States for MLS.

Ivanovic’s performances have been shrinking over the last couple of years, the veteran has subsequently been criticised for some time for not putting efforts in the club.

Ivanovic has racked up 251 appearances for the Stamford Bridge outfit, winning two Premier League silverwares, Champions League, Europa League, three FA Cups and one League Cup.
