Ex-Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has backed Arsenal to become the Premier League champions this season.

The Gunners climbed at the top of the Premier League with an entertaining win over Everton 2-1 on Saturday, before Manchester City won the point needed at Manchester derby yesterday and returned to their pole position.

Although the Italian, who won the Premier League title with the Blues in 2010 – believes that Arsene Wenger’s side could see them go all the way.

He also stated that the League leaders Manchester City have the most complete squad in the top-flight, but their inconsistency might plague them.

“I’d watch out for Arsenal. Arsene Wenger did well to change their system, so he waits and counters to get the best out of the pace of Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport as quoted by Mirror.

Ancelotti had a successful spell at Stamford Bridge before joining the French champions PSG and the Spanish giants Real Madrid, and is currently taking a break away from the game.

The reigning English champions Chelsea have bagged up just three wins, and already look to be out of the race to claim the silverware this season.
