West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino, who is a prime target for Tottenham Hotspur, would be available for transfer if the Baggies receive a major transfer bid, according to the Metro.

The England international, who has scored 14 goals in 38 Premier League appearances, making him the club’s top scorer last season.

Berahino has been heavily linked with a move away from the Hawthorns this summer, with Tottenham are the number one contender for his signature and is thought to be keen on pairing him with Harry Kane next season.

However West Brom manager Tony Pulis is reluctant to let the forward leave this summer, the manager insisted that the 22-year-old would leave the Hawthorns only if  they receive a big-money bid.

He said: “For me, or any other manager, to sit here and say ‘this player is not for sale’ is complete and utter nonsense.

“You saw it with Bale. If big clubs come in and offer the money, inevitably they go.”

West Brom have yet to receive a transfer bid for the striker, with Pulis recently signed in James Chester, Rickie Lambert and James McClean.
