Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick has had a torrid start to the 2015/16 season.

Having played every single game this term, Carrick is yet to get a pace to his form as manager Louis van Gaal’s options in the midfield area have grown over the summer, with the arrivals of two top class midfielders – Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger.

However, United fans have been getting concerned with the form of Carrick, 34, as they want to replace him with either the German superstar Schweinsteiger or the Spaniard Ander Herrera.

Yesterday, Man United clash against Club Brugge in a Champions League third-round qualifying, Carrick looked tired off the pace, He scored his own goal and then was sent off at half-time by LVG, being replaced by the former Bayern Munich superstar Schweinsteiger.

Some fans have been wanting for Carrick to be benched, It appears that the Dutch manager may have a tough call ahead of the next game against Newcastle this weekend, especially with the fans wanting Carrick out of the playing XI:
