Premier League giants Arsenal are reportedly keeping a close eye on the current situation of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot ahead of a possible move for the Frenchman, according to Le 10 Sport.

Rabiot, 20, who represented his nation up to under-21 level, has struggled to make an impact in Parc des Princes, scoring eight goals in 91 appearances in all competitions over the last three seasons.

With a host of big names such as Blaise Matuidi, Thiago Motta and Marco Verratti have kept Rabiot out in the pecking order, while former Newcastle United star Yohan Cabaye was forced to move away in order to find regular first-team action joined at Crystal Palace.

It is understood, the North Londoners may delve into the current transfer window for a new midfielder after a tough start to the new season, a game against West Ham United, losing 2-0 at home.

According to talkSPORT reporter Ian Abrahams, the Gunners are no longer interested in Karim Benzema and have set their sights on Ligue 1 champions youngster Rabiot.

Arsenal are ready to face Liverpool at home on Monday evening in a bid to find their first home win of the new season.
