AS Monaco sign Fabinho on Permanent until 2019

The Brazilian defender Fabinho, who has been strongly linked with Barcelona earlier this season – has penned a new four-year deal with AS Monaco which will keep him at Stade Louis II until June 2019.

The Ligue 1 outfit have signed the 21-year-old full-back on a permanent contract from the Portuguese club Rio Ave.

The defender has been on loan at the Stade Louis II since from the last two seasons, scoring two goals in 48 appearances for the French club this season.


Twitter reacts to Gerrard’s final Anfield match

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard made his final appearance for the Merseyside club at Anfield on Saturday and it was one of the saddest end of an era.

Twitter users and celebrities paid tribute to the 34-year-old’s career of his final game at his boyhood club, a disappointing 3-1 loss to Crystal Palace.


Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim pens contract extension until 2019

The Portuguese Leonardo Jardim has extended his managerial contract with Monaco until 2019, the Ligue1 club have announced.

Jardim, 40, will remain at the Stade Louis II until the summer of 2019.

Man Utd stars react to win over Crystal Palace

Manchester United players took to social media after the club’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday evening.

The Red Devils kept up their bid for Champions League qualification next season, with this win the club moves seven points clear of fifth-placed Liverpool, who face Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

The Spaniard Juan Mata’s first-half penalty put the visitors into a lead, before the Belgian Marouane Fellaini scored a winning goal in the 78th minute of a game at Selhurst Park.


Saul Niguez pens new contract with Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid youngster Saul Niguez has signed a new five-year deal contract with the Spanish champions which will keep him at the Vicente Calderon until 2020.

The 20-year-old playmaker, whose previous deal was set to expire in June 2018, has committed his future to Diego Simeone’s side by a further two years.
