Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia in January transfer window, according to the Italian outlet Web Calico.

The report details that, the Reds are weighing up a January move for the 23-year-old central midfielder on loan until the end of the season. The report adds, the Serie A giants Inter Milan are prepared to offload him in January.

The Frenchman has fallen behind Gary Medel, Joao Mario and Ever Banega in the pecking order this season, having featured in just four games.

Kondogbia moved to the Italian outfit in 2015 from Monaco but has struggled to prove his £25million price tag worth.

He has made just 34 appearances for Internazionale and notched one goal in the process.

The Merseyside outfit manager Jurgen Klopp has enjoyed a good start to the new season and now the German boss is expected to challenge for the title and may need some back-up option in the shape of Kondogbia.
