But the move to the west London club has not been greeted by a positive response from Chelsea fans on Twitter.
The Brazil international was sensational at Italian League, scoring nine goals in 18 appearances in his first season at San Siro.
However, Pato’s final two seasons in Italy were highlighted by injury, where he managed only 15 league appearances between 2011 and 2013, before moving back to play with Brazilian outfit Corinthians.
Hence, Chelsea fans were not satisfied by the form he displayed during his loan spell with Corinthians and therefore expressed their thoughts on social media site Twitter.
Pato is the new Torres

Give it two games and Pato will be injured, back him to score on his debut though.

All being well, Pato shows some hunger, stays fit and resurrects his undoubted talent. If works out, he’ll earn a permanent deal
