Manchester United have reportedly turned their attention to sign Marco Verratti from Paris Saint-Germain, according to The Sun.

The Red Devils have joined the La Liga giants Barcelona in the race to sign the Italian midfielder this summer.

Verratti’s representative Mino Raiola is said to be known for his links to the Red Devils and orchestrated the moves of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba to Old Trafford last summer.

Mario Balotelli extends Nice contract

Nice have confirmed that Italian international striker Mario Balotelli has signed a contract extension at the club.

Balotelli, 26, joined the French Ligue 1 outfit last summer on a one-year deal following some bad spells with Liverpool and on loan at former club AC Milan.

The move saw the Italian return to form as he notched 17 goals in 28 appearances across all competitions last season, helping the club finish third in Ligue 1 and claim a Champions League spot.
