Liverpool have officially announced Jurgen Klopp as their new team manager, fulfilling Brendan Rodgers’ vacancy at the Merseyside club.

The 48-year-old German tactician becomes the Merseysiders 24th manager in the history of the club, having signed a three-year contract with the Premier League outfit, ending speculation linking him with the vacated position.

The Former Borussia Dortmund manager has been out of a job since leaving the Bundesliga outfit at the end of last season.

He won two back-to-back German titles in the 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 seasons as well as reaching the Champions League final in 2013 during his time at Westfalenstadion.

Klopp’s first game with the Merseysiders is due to be against Spurs at White Hart Lane next weekend.
