Juventus

The transfer window allowed Juventus to bolster up their attack with former striker Nicolas Anelka, on a loan until the summer, with Fernando Llorente joining in the summer, once his contract with Athletic Bilbao has finished a fantastic free signing for the Turin club.

Frederico Peluso (Loan, Atalanta)
Jose Cevallos (Loan, LDU Quito)
Fernando Llorente (Free, Athletic Bilbao)

AC Milan

Possibly the biggest deal in Italy during the past transfer window was of the ever-controversial Mario Balotelli switching Manchester for Milan, and even scoring two goals on his competitive debut, infront of the San Siro faithful. Italian World Cup winning defender Crisitan Zaccardo was brought in, seeing Djamel Mesbah go the other way to Parma.

Cristian Zaccardo (Swap, Parma)
Bartosz Salamon (Undiscolsed, Brescia)

Tottenham

The signing of young Englishman Ezequiel Fryers has annoyed his ex-manager at Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson, however this shows that Spurs have signed some top young talent, and will flourish in their development team. A great bargain in the form of Lewis Holtby however was their main signing, with the highly rated German/Englishman being tracked by several clubs during the window.

Lewis Holtby (£1.5m, Schalke)

Newcastle

Alan Pardew has added to his ‘French Revolution’ already consisting of Yohan Cabaye, Hatem Ben Arfa, Romain Amalfitano, Sylvain Marveaux and Gabriel Obertan grew considerably this past window, and after fast tracking several of the new players to the first team, Moussa Sissoko shone on his debut, scoring 2 goals, a snip at only £1.8 million.

Yoan Gouffran (1.3m, Bordeaux)

Mapou Yanga-M’Biwa (£6m, Montpellier)

QPR

QPR were the most active of all the Premier League teams this window, signing 6 players. The biggest were successive record signings, first in Loic Remy who scored on his debut, and then in Christopher Samba, the ex Anzhi and Blackburn powerhouse centre-back.

Andros Townsend (Loan, QPR)
Tal Ben Haim (Free, Portsmouth)
Chris Samba (£12m, Anzhi Makhachkala)

Liverpool

Desperate for a striker, Liverpool managed to sign England international Daniel Sturridge, who has proved to be a massive hit so far, scoring 3 in 4 games, and providing excellent link up play with strike partner Luis Suarez. Young Philippe Coutinho also signed from Inter Milan, who has been tipped for big things.

Philippe Coutinho (£8.5m, Inter Milan)
Daniel Sturridge (£12m, Chelsea)

PSG

PSG made two stand out signings in this window, one coming from the enormous fee they paid for 20 year old Brazilian Luca Moura, who is already starting to show his worth, only if he has only played 4 games for the club. Shock signing of the window however went to David Beckham, who joined on a free transfer. Some say it is just a money making stunt, however it would be great to see Beckham back in the Champions League.

David Beckham (Free, LA Galaxy)

Galatasaray

Galatasaray might not be known for attracting world renowned superstars to their club, and despite hefty wages, they managed to snap up two relative bargains, bagging Didier Drogba and Wesley Sneijder for around £13 million for the pair. The signing of this duo must be a clear attempt that not only do they want to improve their lead in the Turkish League, but also make a statement in the Champions League too.

Wesley Sneijder (£7m, Inter Milan)
