Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is desperately looking forward to bring AS Monaco striker Radamel Falcao to Anfield this summer in order to strengthen his squad, according to reports from the Express.

It has been reported that the Reds are interested to land the 28-year-old Colombian, and the Ligue 1 side are willing to off-load the striker on a season-long loan deal.

“We have to keep looking. We certainly need something that is going to help us over the coming season,” The Northern Irishman said, as quoted in the Express. “You never know what sometimes happens with a few weeks to go in the window.”

It is understood the Merseyside club are still looking for a replacement for their former striker Luis Suarez, who left the club for Barcelona earlier this summer.

Rodgers has already done eight signings this summer, but hasn’t find the perfect replacement for Suarez yet and he is keen to bring in a top quality striker at Anfield.

Meanwhile The Spanish giants Real Madrid are also interested in the Falcao’s signature.
