Manchester United are reportedly closing in on to sign Fabinho from AS Monaco, according to reports in Italy.

The Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport is suggesting that the 20-time English champions have finally struck a deal with the Ligue 1 winners to bring the Brazil international to Old Trafford after having been linked with a move for the midfielder for some time.

It is reported that the deal will be consist of £30.8m up front on top of that performance-related bonuses up to £4.4m.

The same report claims that the Red Devils have already agreed personal terms with the 23-year-old playmaker and the player is set to be unveiled as United’s second summer signing.

Fabinho scored nine goals and provided one assist in 37 Ligue 1 appearances for the French outfit last season to help them win the Ligue 1 title.

Manchester United continue to be linked with a number of star players ahead of Jose Mourinho’s 2nd season in charge at the Old Trafford.
