Having impressed for the East London club in midfield during a game against Arsenal on the opening day of the season, West Ham United sensation Reece Oxford is reportedly the target of Manchester United £8m bid, as per The Times.

The 16-year-old midfielder, who played just three times in the Premier League this season has found himself on the radar of a number of top European clubs – including the Old Trafford based club Manchester United.

The report has suggested that the Englishman will be subject of a January offer despite speculations that he will extend his stay with a two-and-a-half year deal to remain at the Upton Park.

But the Hammers are unable to secure his signature for any longer because of FA rules preventing players under the age of 18 from signing three-year deals.

The number of clubs including Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal are set to move for the England under-17s captain but it seems the Red Devils are to make the first move when transfer window reopens next month.
