Manchester United are reportedly desperate to sign Tottenham Hotspur star striker Harry Kane and the Red Devils have prepared more than £49m bid in order to bring the England international to Old Trafford, as reported by The Sun.

The 22-year-old has been a long-term United target and the paper claims that the striker was one of Louis van Gaal’s hit list.

The Sun understand that following Man United’s struggle to score goals against Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup, the Dutch boss is eager to add more striker-force to his squad.

Moreover, a key player Wayne Rooney has struggled to find his form, managed just two league goals this season.

Whereas, Kane has bagged four goals in ten league games this term, with three of those coming against Bournemouth last weekend.

It is understood Spurs will not sell Kane at any cost, but that isn’t scaring off the Red Devils.
