The Premier League club Arsenal have reportedly agreed a four-year deal with Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, according to Calcio Mercato Web.

Te report claims that the north Londoners have spoken to Vidal’s agent Fernando Felicevich and reach to an agreement with him during a recent visit to London.

The Chilean has been a prime target for couple of Premier League clubs, with the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool last summer, but a deal failed to materialise.

The Gunners were also linked with the 28-year-old last summer, but it was the Merseyside club who were leading the race as their manager Brendan Rodgers look for a replacement for the outgoing Steven Gerrard.

Arsenal seems to beaten their rivals, to land the highly rated South American at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen on a box-to-box midfielder, who can help his side with goals and has identified the Juventus star as the ideal player to complement the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Santi Cazorla.

It is believed that the Italian champions allow Vidal to leave Turin, as they are looking to re-shape their squad in the summer, While Paul Pogba will stay for yet another season.

This news come as a huge blow to Liverpool, who was said to be interested on signing the Bianconeri midfielder, who has scored 7 goals in 28 games for the Old Lady this season.
