Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly weighing up a summer move for FC Koln defender Kevin Wimmer, reports the Mirror.

Recently, Spurs were linked with a move for Aymeric Laporte from Athletic Bilbao, but the report claims that his 30 million pounds price tag has led to the Premier League club eyeing other targets.

Wimmer, 22, is thought to have been away from the Bundesliga club last week, with Spurs centre-backs Younes Kaboul and Vlad Chiriches are expected to leave White Hart Lane.

However, the Austrian defender is now tipped as the primary option for manager Mauricio Pochettino as he looks to strengthen his squad for next season.

Wimmer is a brilliant young defender, who does not have much experience in top-class football, but at the same time, Harry Kane was also in Tottenham’s regular team until this campaign.

What do you think, should Spurs make a move for Wimmer this summer? Let us know in the comments section below.
